ONE of Marcus’s great loves is pantomime, establishing himself playing the paternal, comedic, nefarious, and villainous roles: For Duggie Chapman Production's: The Emperor in Aladdin (Southport), King Rat in Dick Whittington (Bolton), and Abanazer in Aladdin (Billingham). For Qdos: Fleshcreep in Jack and the Beanstalk (All 35 Haven Holiday Parks!!). For UK Productions: Baron Hardup in Cinderella (Grimsby), The Squire in Mother Goose (Bath), The King in Jack and the Beanstalk (Hayes) , Baron Hardup in Cinderella (Tunbridge Wells), The King in Jack and the Beanstalk ( Bath), The King in Jack and the Beanstalk (Malvern), Baron Hardup in Cinderella (New Brighton), The King in Jack and the Beanstalk (Bournemouth), The King in Sleeping Beauty (Rhyl), Baron Hardup in Cinderella (Bromley), The King in Sleeping Beauty, (Mansfield), The King in Sleeping Beauty (New Brighton), The King in Sleeping beauty ( Sunderland then returning to Bournemouth to play The King in Jack and the Beanstalk. In 2018/19 Marcus played Belle's Father in UK Production's, Beauty and the Beast at Blackpool Grand Theatre, for which he was nominated for best supporting male by The Great British Panto awards. He reprised this role at The Theatre Royal, Bath 2019/20, and, after a Covid break, went to Anvil Arts in Basingstoke 2021/22. The 2022/23 season was spent in Bournemouth at The Pavilion. Marcus was in Sunderland for the 2023/24 season.

Marcus trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and made his professional stage début in My Fair Lady at Aberystwyth, returning the following year to play, Captain Bracket in South Pacific. During an interesting and varied career, he has played parts from Punk to Prospero, even taking on understudying both parts of the two hander, Nixon’s Nixon (Comedy Theatre, West End) and touring the length and breadth of Britain with the Jasparian Theatre Company. Marcus has been asked many times to return and work with, award winning director, Peter Doran at The Torch Theatre in Milford Haven, playing, Headmaster in Gotcha, Roland in Taking Steps, Abanazer in Aladdin, various roles in The Hired Man, Arthur Birling in An Inspector Calls, and returned to play, Charlie 'The Duck' Clench, in the 2019, One Man Two Guv'nors. This followed on from the completion of two tours of Engine House Theatre Co's, Grandad's Island which premièred in 2018. In 2017 he was on another premier tour with Middle Ground Theatre Company, playing, Thomas Lauridson in The Verdict, with Clive Mantle and Jack Shepherd.
